Jigsaw Puzzles – How to Make Your Own Tessellations

In the last post I talked about how the kind of tessellated patterns that make up jigsaw puzzle piece shapes can be seen all around us in nature.  I do get asked how you can come up with tessellation, so to follow on I’ve found a few videos that show you how to come up with pretty much any shape you like.  Making them work on a computer can be a whole different issue, as whatever shape you come up with has to be turned into a mathematical expression, but we won’t worry about that here.  Grab the scissors and a piece of paper and play the clips……
